Kang Xin, a VP of Mathsoc is eating Chinese Cuisine with his friends in the canteen. After eating, they put 4 red dishes in the pattern shown on the right and found that a Zesta bottle fit the space between the plates perfectly. If the diameter of the bottle is 6 cm, how big is a Chinese Cuisine’s dish?
Medium (JH3-JH4):
Terry, the President of Mathsoc is on the Singapore Flyer which travels in a vertical circle. The diameter of the wheel is 120 meters long and rotates anticlockwise at a constant rate of one revolution per 42 minutes. He is now in a cabin which is 30 meters above the ground after passing the lowest point. How many minutes will it take for him to reach the highest point?
